Sembcorp Green Infra Limited (GIL)

Company description

Incorporated in April 2008, Sembcorp Green Infra Limited is a young and dynamic organization with a vision to become the leading clean energy Independent Power Producer (IPP) in the country. With a mandate to invest, develop and operate clean energy assets, we are actively involved across the renewable energy sector in India with a clear focus on Wind, and Solar verticals.

In February, 2015, Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) successfully completed the acquisition of 60% stake in the company. This marked a significant chapter in the evolution of Green Infra as a dynamic and ever-growing IPP.

In the last 7 years (operational since April, 2008) it has grown rapidly and has established good corporate governance, policies, robust systems and processes to scale up capacity. Presently it operates over 520 MW of wind and solar farms in India.
