China CEE Investment Co-operation Fund buys Czech solar firm Energy 21

According to local sources, the China CEE Investment Co-operation Fund, which was set up by the Export-Import Bank of China, has taken over Czech solar power producer Energy 21, which owns more than 30 plants with a combined capacity over 61 MW.

The China CEE Investment Co-operation Fund bought the company from investment firm Mid Europa Partners for a sum that was not disclosed .

Information on Mid Europa Partners’ website shows that the company was invested in Energy 21 since June 2010.

The transaction was closed weeks ago after the first agreement was announced in December 2015.

Energy 21 is the second largest solar power company in the Czech Republic, only after local energy CEZ.
