Invenergy sells 69 MW Corriegarth Wind Energy Center to Greencoat UK Wind PLC

Invenergy, the North-American privately-held renewable energy company, has announced the sale of its Corriegarth Wind Energy Center to Greencoat UK Wind PLC.

The 69.5 megawatt (MW) facility is located in Scotland, approximately 31 kilometers southwest of Inverness. 

Financing for Corriegarth was completed in October 2015 and the project was commissioned in April 2017. The Project has one of the most robust wind resources in the United Kingdom and utilizes 23 Enercon E82 wind turbine generators.

Corriegarth achieved Renewable Obligation Certificates accreditation in September 2016 and is party to a 15-year power purchase agreement with a leading U.K. utility. 

,Invenergy’s President and Chief Operating Officer Jim Murphy, said:

“Corriegarth is our second operating wind farm in Scotland and is situated in an area with great wind resources. We are proud of our development and construction of this project and pleased to transfer ownership to Greencoat, a company with a reputation of investing in successful renewable projects.”
