Investment opportunity for 3 solar plants and one wind farm in Iraq

The Ministry of Electricity of Iraq in coordination with the National Investment Commission has announced an investment opportunity to carry out 4 renewable energy projects, 3 solar plants and 1 wind farm.

The new facilities will have a capacity that ranges between (5-10) MW in Diwaniya, Najaf and Misan provinces according to investment law No. 13 for the year 2006.

Two solar projects will be developed in Diwania and one in Najaf. The wind project will be located in Misan . The four sites has already been selected.

Interested parties must submit their interest letter to the National Investment Commission providing a profile that contains the following:

• Project feasibility study that matches with the one arranged by the Ministry of Electricity (which can be obtained with the information confidentiality form when visiting NIC)
• Signing the information confidentiality form when visiting NIC
• Preliminary engineering plans
• Financial competency with the details of the project funding sources
• Duration and stages of project implementation
• Similar accomplished projects
