The project involves the design, build, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance, for a 25 year period of an integrated solar combined cycle power generating facility, with a total net output of at least 280 MWe, including a solar contribution of 60 MWe.

The project will benefit from an Energy Conversion and Water Purchase Agreement (ECWPA) with the state of Kuwait.

Shortlisted teams have to submit their proposals on or before 17 March 2016.

The project is to provide power and renewable electricity generation in line with the Government of Kuwait’s target to meet at least 15% of its energy needs via renewable energy sources by the year 2030.
