Morocco-based Platinum Power, majority owned by New York-based investment fund Brookstone Partners, has reached an important milestone for the development of its three hydro power projects (HPP) in Morocco, with the achievement of "public utility" status.
These hydro power projects are the following:
- The Tilougguit Amont project, which involves the construction and operation & maintenance of a 8 MW hydropower plant in the basin area of Azilal, Morocco. Power production is scheduled for the second half of 2018.
- The Tilougguit Aval project, which comprises the construction and operation & maintenance of the 26 MW hydropower plant in the basin area of Azilal, Morocco. Power production is also scheduled for second half of 2018.
- The Boutferda HPP, which envisages the construction and operation & maintenance of the 18 MW hydropower plant in the basin area of Beni-Mellal, Morocco. Power production is scheduled for the second half of 2018.
