PLT Energia closes financing for Italian wind park

PLT Energia has achieved project financing to develop the 60 MW Tursi and Colobraro wind project in Basilicata, a region in the south of Italy.

The total project investment is estimated at €97 million (US$109.96 million). 

PLT Energia has secured a €74.1 million (US$84 million) loan from BPER Banca, BPM, ICCREA BancaImpresa and Credito Valtellinese. 

NCTM has acted as the lenders' legal adisor. Moroni & Partners was the technical advisor to the lenders and AON S.p.A. acted as insurance advisor to the lenders.

The wind farm, which is currently under construction, comprises a total of 30 Senvion MM100 wind turbines. PLT engineering S.r.l. is the project engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor.

PLT Energia SpA, headquartered in Cesena, produces and sells renewable energy in Italy. The company owns and operates wind parks, photovoltaic parks, and biogas plants. It also designs, constructs, and manages plants powered by renewable sources; and buys and sells electric energy by means of physical contracts and financial instruments.
