SECI launches tender process 2X100 MW of solar for Coal India

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) haslaunched a tender process for a 2X100 MW (AC) Solar PV Power Plant for Coal India Limited (CIL) including 10 Years Plant O&M at Neemuch-Mandsaur Solar Park, in Madhya Pradesh, India. The new solar planrts will be installed within the Neemuch-Mandsaur solar park.

CIL as an organized state owned coal mining corporate came into being in November 1975 with the government taking over private coal mines. With a production of 79 Million Tonnes (Mt) at the year of its inception CIL today is the single largest coal producer in the world. Operating through 82 mining areas CIL is an apex body with 7 wholly owned coal producing subsidiaries and 1 mine planning and Consultancy Company s over 8 provincial states of India.

Interested parties must submit their proposals on or before November 13. Under the scope of the EPC contract, the preferred bidders will be responsible for the design, construction, equipment supply, commissioning and grid-connection of the solar parks. They will also provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services for a period of 10 years.
