Trianel acquires wind farm in Germany

Trianel Erneuerbare Energien GmbH & Co. KG (TEE) has announced it has acquired the Wind Project Buchenau developed by the ABO Wind AG. The wind farm has a capacity of 17.25 MW.

The Buchenau wind farm comprises a total of five turbines Vestas V126-3,45 MW. It  is currently under construction in the district Buchenau in the municipality of Eiterfeld, around 30 kilometers north of Fulda (Germany). ABO Wind AG is responsible for the planning, construction coordination and subsequent operational management of the wind farm.

Once completed, Buchenau will produce around 46 million kWh of electricity per year, enough to supply 16,000 three-person homes.

TEE portfolio includes PV plants in Brandenburg and onshore wind farms in Rhineland-Palatinate, Bavaria and Hesse with a total capacity of 41.25 MW. By 2018, the portfolio is to be expanded to 275 MW.
