Fondaco SGR

Company description

Fondaco SGR is an independent asset management company based in Turin, Italy. The name Fondaco has its origins in the Middle Ages: it represented storage buildings and accommodation for foreign merchants in the maritime republics. The vaulted ceilings of those ancient storage buildings have inspired their logo. Their mission is to protect the value of assets raised throughout the centuries that are destined for social purpose.

The company was founded in 2002 by Compagnia di San Paolo, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio in Bologna and Ersel Finanziaria. Over the years, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Cuneo and Fondazione Roma have joined the corporate structure.
