The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) has attracted 38 bids for the Borssele I and II wind farms (BWF I and II) projects, each of about 350 MW.
Bidders are, among others, the team made up Shell, Eneco and Van Oord, the team composed of RWE and Macquarie Capital and Vattenfall. The selected bidders are scheduled to be announced on August 11.
According to Minister Kamp, the total project investment ofr each wind farm could be lower than initially expected.
Wind Farm Zone Borssele, 344 km2 in total, is divided into 5 sites. Sites I, II and IV can accommodate 350 MW plus 30 MW overplanting. Site III can accommodate 320 MW plus 30 MW overplanting. Site V is for innovations and can accommodate 20 MW.
The tender process to develop the 320-MW Borssele III and 350-MW Borssele IV is scheduled to be issued in September.
