Abengoa appoints Santiago Seage as CEO

Abengoa's Board of Directors has appointed Santiago Seage, who had previously resigned as CEO of Abengoa Yield, as the new CEO with immediate effect.

Prior to join Abengoa, Santiago Seage was Partner at McKinsey & Company form 1997 to 2005. After that he worked at Abengoa as VP Strategy and Corporate Development until 2008 when he became CEO of Abengoa Solar.

Abengoa has also announced that its Board of Directors has accepted the resignation as CEO by Manuel Sanchez Ortega for strictly personal reasons. Manuel Sanchez will continue in office as non executive first vice chairman of Abengoa, and joins the International Advisory Board of Abengoa.

During the next few days Manuel Sanchez and Santiago Seage will hold meetings with investors in London, Boston and New York and will work together during the transition period.
