Audax Energia to take over Spanish wind firm Fersa

Spanish energy trader Audax Energy, Swiss private equity firm Springwater Capital and asset manager Oaktree Capital Management, have launched take over bids for the wind power company Fersa Energias Renovables.

Additionally, Fersa Energias Renovables has recently appointed Lazard Asesores Financieros to help review several non-binding takeover offers. The firm has not agreed a transaction with any of the potential purchasers.

Fersa Energias Renovables SA has its headquarters in Barcelona, Spain. The company is specialized to the development of wind farms. Through its subsidiaries it is also engaged in production of solar and biomass energy.

The company’s portfolio comprises assets with a combined capacity of 457.7 MW, including 185.2 MW in operation. Fersa has planned and developed wind farms is Spain, India, China, Panama, France, Italy, Montenegro, Hungary, Poland, Estonia and Russia. In India, the company owns the Gadaj wind farm and develops Hanumanhatti, Chaveneshwar, and Ramdurga wind farms. In Panama, the company develops Toabré and Antón (Cocle) wind farms.
