Dubai seeks EOIs for 800 MW Phase III of solar project

Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) has launched a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) for the 800 MW third phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum solar PV park.

The new Solar PV Power Project will be located within the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Moktoum Solar Park, about 50km south of the city of Dubai. It will be commissioned in phases starting 2018, and DEWA will purchase the power under a long term power purchase agreement (PPA).

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum solar PV park is expected to eventually cover 40 square kilometers and produce 1,000MW of clean energy for the national grid using both PV and solar thermal technology. The solar park is composed by a 13 MW Phase I, a 200 MW phase II and a 800 MW phase III.

Interested parties must submit their EOIs on or before 29 September 2015.
