EOIs requested for bioenergy PPP project in Canada

The city of Revelstoke in British Columbia (Canada) has issued a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) to develop a bioenergy PPP project.

The City of Revelstoke, BC and the local sawmill, Downie Timber, jointly recognize the opportunity to better utilize large supplies of wood residue generated in the area from local forestry operations, and that both economic and environmental benefits can be generated for stakeholders.

As a result, the city’s clean energy subsidiary, Revelstoke Community Energy Corporation, is undertaking an RFEOI to develop a biomass project (or projects) that best fit the needs of the City and surrounding area.

Interested parties must submit their expressions of interest on or before 3 October 2014.
