Gamesa sells a 24 MW wind farm in Poland

Gamesa has sold a 24 MW wind farm in Poland, built under turnkey project modality, to Windflower, from the Israeli Sunflower group.

The Suchań wind farm - developed and promoted by Gamesa- is located in West Pomerania Province, in northwestern Poland, and comprises 12 Gamesa G97-2.0 MW wind turbines. Under the terms of the agreement, Gamesa will provide the facility's operation and maintenance services for a period of fifteen years. The wind farm was commissioned during the last quarter of 2015.

According to consultancy BTM, Poland is expected to be the sixth largest market in Europe in terms of MW installed during the next four years: installed capacity is expected to almost double from close to 3.8 GW today to 6.8 GW by the end of 2019.

Gamesa in Poland operates in both wind turbine delivery, installation and operation and maintenance services and wind farm development and sales. Since it won its first contract in 2006 in this market, the company has installed more than 700 MW and maintains close to 650 MW.
