The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the  Republic of Indonesia, has launched a three tender processes to seek private developers for geothermal projects

The three geothermal working areas are:

  • Gunung Wilis (Nganjuk Regency, Kediri Regency, Tulungagung Regency, Ponorogo Regency And Madiun Regency, Jawa Timur Province), with an area of 20.840 Ha and probable reserves of 50 MW. The development planning capacity is 2x10 MW. 
  • Gunung Hamiding (Kabupaten Halmahera Utara, Provinsi Maluku Utara), with an 42.100 Ha and probable reserves of 265 MW. The development planning capacity is 20 MW. 
  • Graho Nyabu (Merangin Regency dan Kerinci Regency, Jambi Province), with an area of 109.00 Ha and probable reserves of 200 MW. The development planning capacity is 110 MW. 

The eligibility to participate on the tender of the Geothermal Working Area are business entities with experiences and scope of works in geothermal, oil and gas, mineral/coal mining, or electricity generation.

The deadline for submitting proposals is October 20 for the first one and October 27 for the two others.
