John Laing Group invests in its third wind farm project in France

John Laing Group plc, the international originator, active investor and manager of infrastructure projects, has announced financial close of an investment of €5,90 million (US$6,25 million) to acquire 100% of the Parc Eolien des Courtibeaux wind farm.

It is located in Saint-Martin-L’Ars in the department of Vienne in France, and it has been acquired from WKN AG, the developer of the site and EPC contractor. In addition to John Laing’s equity investment, the construction of the wind farm will be project financed with debt from ING Bank. Construction is expected to be completed in June 2018.

Total installed capacity will be 10.25 MW from 5 Senvion MM92 turbines, each with capacity of 2.05 MW. The project benefits from a 15-year feed in tariff.
