KGAL acquires wind farm in France

KGAL Group, the German based asset manager, has acquired the Clamecy wind farm situated in Burgundy (France) from ABO Wind. This is the third French project that KGAL acquires from ABO Wind, and the tenth wind farm added in France.

Clamecy has a total capacity of 12.3 MW and the total investment reached €13.7 million (US$15 million). Located in the two municipalities of Oisy and Clamecy in Burgundy, approximately 175 km south of Paris, the wind farm comprises six turbines (Senvion MM92 /2050) and started operations in December 2013.

KGAL has been managing real assets since 1968 and managed a total investment volume of €21.7 billion (US$23.9 million) as at December 2015. The company provides investment opportunities for institutional investors in the areas of real estate, aviation and infrastructure (renewable energies).

Michael Ebner, executive in charge of the Infrastructure division at KGAL Investment Management, said:

“We are confident that our acquisition of the Clamecy wind farm will enable us to successfully continue our growth strategy for a broadly diversified portfolio with an attractive risk-return profile in our core markets of Germany and France.”
