Morocco tenders two hybrid PV/CSP plants at Noor Midelt

The Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy (MASEN) has launched a request for pre-qualification (RFPQ) to develop the Noor Midelt Phase I Projects.

The projects will be developed under an IPP (Independent Power Production) scheme, through an international tender process.

The preferred bidders will be responsible for the design, build, financing and operation of two hybrid PV (photovoltaic) and CSP (concentrated solar power) power plant projects with storage. The facilities will use CSP technology comprising synthetic oil parabolic trough with storage or a molten salt tower with storage.

The CSP gross capacity is expected to be between 150 MW and 190 MW for each project, while the PV capacity is to be proposed by developers based on RfP requirements.

Interested parties must submit the pre-qualification documents on or before October 14.
