Mumbai Port launches PPP tender for Floating Storage and Regasification Unit

The Port of Mumbai, as one of its major initiatives, wishes to undertake the development and operation/maintenance of Floating gas Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) of 5 Million Metric Tonne Per Annum (MMTPA) capacity along with the supporting infrastructure in Mumbai harbour on design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis by a private developer.

The support facilities to be developed include marine terminal (including berthing and mooring facilities for FSRU and LNG carriers, offloading and transfer, riser systems for gas send-out), sub-sea pipeline, landfall point facilities for metering station and dredging in the approach channel and turning basin.

The RFQ document outlining the project details, qualification requirements, RFQ Application format etc. can be accessed from Mumbai Port’s website www.mumbaiport.gov.in or www.eprocure.gov.in from 24-11-2014 onwards.

Interested parties are invited to submit their applications for qualifications as per the RFQ document. The Pre-Application conference is scheduled on 18.12.2014.

The last date for submission of Applications is 09-01-2015 at 11.00 hrs IST.
