Taaleritehdas energy fund sells Honkajoki wind park in Finland

The first wind energy fund of Taaleritehdas Plc called Taaleritehtaan Tuulitehdas I has signed a sale and purchase agreement to sell the wind park located in Honkajoki, Finland to the companies managed by Goodyields Capital and Access Capital Partners.

Honkajoki wind park consists of 9 wind turbines with the total output of 21,6 MW. Honkajoki wind park has generated energy since autumn 2013. The parties have agreed not to release the selling price.

Taaleritehdas Private Equity Funds Ltd will receive a performance fee due to the selling of the wind park, which has no significant effect on the profit of the Taaleritehdas Group in year 2015. The closing of the deal is estimated to happen in the middle of November 2015. This type of transaction is the first of its kind in Finland.

The parties have also agreed that Taaleritehdas will continue to operate the Honkajoki wind park on behalf of the new owner.  T3 TCM Oy which is part of Taaleritehdas Group stays responsible for technical and commercial management of the park.

The first wind park of Taaleritehdas was completed in Honkajoki in July 2013. During the summer 2015 Taaleritehdas completed the biggest wind park in Finland with 27 wind turbines to Ii. At the moment Taaleritehdas has 25 wind turbines in the commissioning phase in Alavieska, Ylivieska and Kankaanpää.

In addition to that Taaleritehdas has an investment plan of approximately 70 wind turbines. Taaleritehtaan Tuulitehdas I and II are owned by over 750 Finnish private and institutional investors.
