Tanzania Ports Authority issues tender precess for oil terminal jetty

Tanzania Ports Authority has launched a tender process to develop a New Oil Terminal Jetty at Kigamboni in Dar es Salaam Port through a PPP project.

The new facilities will replace the old Kurasini Oil Jetty (KOJ) in Dar es Salaam.

The project will be developed on a design, build and finance (DBF) basis.

The shortlist criteria are:

  • firm’s experience in similar assignment
  • firm’s capacity and availability of managerial and technical staff for the assignment under international competitive bidding

Interested parties must submit their expressions of interest (EOIs) on before 25 February 2015.

The port of Dar es Salaam is the principal port serving Tanzania. According to the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH), it is the fourth largest port on the African continent’s Indian Ocean coastline after Durban, Mombasa and Maputo.
