Tozzi Group signs project financing for 4.5 MW biomass deal

MPS Capital Services and Terni Biomassa S.r.l. (Tozzi Group) have signed project financing for the development of a 4.5 MW waste-to-energy project in the city of Terni, Italy.

The new facilities, which are already under construction, will have a capacity of 3 tones per hour. The project aims to solve the problem of disposing of waste in Terni in the southern portion of the Region of Umbria in central Italy.

Italian law firms Legance - Avvocati Associati and L&B Partners Studio Legale Associato have advised MPS Capital Services Banca per le Imprese S.p.A. and Terni Biomassa S.r.l respectively.

The city of Terni has a population of about 112,000 inhabitants and an an area of 211 km2.

We recently reported about a similar project in Italy, the Albanella biogas facility project. The project involves the design, build, finance, operation and maintenance of the facility. The new plant would produce electricity and heat from buffalo manure by anaerobic digestion.
