Veronagest refinances wind portfolio in Italy

Veronagest has achieved project refinancing for an Italian wind portfolio that comprises a total of four wind facilities.

The total portfolio refinancing amounts €190 million (US$209.6 million). It has been provided for a consortium of banks made up UniCredit, Natixis and BNP Paribas. Financiers have been advised by Macchi di Cellere Gangemi, Legance, Chiomenti and Russo De Rosa.

The refinanced portfolio includes the following four Italian wind farms:

  • 42.5 MW VRG Wind 819. Located in Catania, the wind facility comprises 50 Gamesa G52/58 0,85 MW.
  • 60 MW VRG Wind 070. Located in Catanzaro, the wind facility comprises 30 Gamesa G90 2 MW.
  • 22.1 MW VRG Wind 129. Located in Palermo, the wind facility comprises 26 Gamesa G52/58 0,85 MW.
  • 20 MW VRG Wind 840. Located in Catanzaro, the wind facility comprises 10 Gamesa G90 2 MW.

Last month we reported that PLT Energia secured a €74.1 million loan to develop the 60 MW Tursi and Colobraro wind project in Basilicata, a region in the south of Italy. The project comprises a total of 30 Senvion MM100 wind turbines.
