International law firm Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) advised Whiteridge Investment Funds on their sale of 22.09% of the ordinary shares of K.R.ENERGY S.p.A., an Italian investment company listed on the electronic share market MTA and a renewable energy producer, to investment company Rise Equity S.p.A.

K.R.Energy S.p.A. operates in the field of renewable energy. It produces energy from various renewable sources, such as hydropower, photovoltaics, and wind power, as well as fuel source. The company is based in Milan.

The WFW team was led by WFW partner and Head of Italy Eugenio Tranchino, assisted by counsel Luca Sfrecola and associates Cristina Betti and Giovanni Incardona on the corporate aspects of the transaction, and counsel Giuseppe Franch on tax matters.

WFW lead partner, Eugenio Tranchino commented:

“We are delighted to have advised Whiteridge on this challenging transaction, which is our first mandate with them. The deal emphasises our prominent position as a legal advisor in the renewables sector, as well as on capital raising transactions”.
