Wind Minds and Doarm Engineering sign offshore wind deal

Dutch company Wind Minds have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Korean company Doarm Engineering to develop offshore wind farms in South Korea.

The MoU arose from the Dutch trade mission to Korea and Japan last year, which ran parallel to the state visit by the Dutch King and Queen.

The MoU incorporates two offshore wind projects with a capacity of around 100 MW each. The offshore wind sites are located close to the shore of the island Jeju in Korea.

Wind Minds was established in 2014 by bringing together 4 independent consultancies, each with over 15 years’ experience in the renewable energy industry.

The services Wind Minds provides cover the entire value chain of a wind energy project, such as feasibility studies, planning and development support, ecological research, strategic and environmental impact assessments, yield optimization, asset management, O&M strategy and due diligence services.
